Registration & Discounts

3. How can I register for the conference?

You may register online. Or, if you would prefer to register with one of our call center representatives, please call 800.248.5667.

5. What meals are included in my registration fee?
  • Breakfast (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
  • Lunch (Wednesday, Thursday)
  • Morning and Afternoon Beverage Breaks

6. What are HDI’s payment policies?

HDI accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express for conference payment. Billing is also available and invoices are payable upon receipt. Pre-payment (or a federal government purchase order) is required prior to conference attendance.
 
7. What are HDI’s cancellation policies?

All cancellations must be made in writing. You may cancel without penalty until February 5, 2010, after which a $150 cancellation fee will be charged. No-shows and cancellations after March 1, 2010, will be charged the full conference rate. Cancellation policy applies to both conference and pre-conference workshop registrations.
 
8. How can I tell you about my special physical/dietary needs?

Vegetarian meals/items will be available at all conference food functions. If you have additional physical or dietary needs that need to be addressed, please call 719.268.0329 prior to March 1, 2010 and we will be happy to try to accommodate your request.

9. Can I send someone in my place, if I can no longer attend?

Yes, you may substitute at any time before receiving your conference materials on-site. If possible, knowing the replacement’s name, title and address prior to attending the conference helps facilitate a smooth registration substitution.

10. I am an HDI member, are there any membership discounts?

Yes, all HDI Silver members and above receive $200 discount off the conference registration fee and $100 off the 3-day and 2-day pre-conference workshops.

11. I’ve attended in the past, are there any alumni discounts?

Yes, alumni to any HDI conference receive an alumni discount of $100.

12. Is there an early bird discount?
 
The early bird discount ended on January 29th.


13. Can I apply the early bird discount to a pre-conference workshop?

Discounts may only be applied to the Conference Registration Packages.

13a. What other discounts are offered?

Save on airport shuttle and tickets to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and several dinner shows.

14. Can I bring a guest to any sessions or keynotes?
 
Only registered conference participants will be allowed to attend conference sessions or keynote presentations.


15. When will on-site registration be available?

The on-site registration/information booth will be open during the following hours:
  • Sunday, March 14, 7:00am – 9:00am
  • Monday, March 15, 7:00am – 9:00am
  • Tuesday, March 16, 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • Wednesday, March 17, 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • Thursday, March 18, 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • Friday, March 19, 7:30am – 9:00am
16. What materials will I receive as part of my registration?

Conference attendees will receive:
  • A conference bag designed to hold your conference materials
  • Conference handouts on a CD
  • Conference Badge (entrance into all conference keynotes, sessions, expo and receptions)
  • Conference/Reception meal and beverage tickets
17. In what format will I get my conference handouts?
Download and review speaker presentations one week before your trip to help you decide which sessions you would like to print and bring with you. Plus, receive the presentations on site, neatly packaged in a convenient CD instead of hard copy manuals.

17a. What if I need to fax my registration form to HDI?

You can download a PDF of the registration form that you can fax to us at 719.268.0184.

20. Are there any special conference rates? How do I make my hotel reservations?

Discounted rates are available to conference participants.

Reserve your room:  $209.00 single/double occupancy
 
Please call 866-996-6338 and reference HDI 2010 Annual Conference.  Hotel rooms are expected to sell out – please reserve as soon as possible. The conference rate will be available until March 1, 2010 OR until they sell out. After March 1, conference rates may be offered based upon availability.


 
20a. How much does parking cost at the hotel?
 
Parking at Rosen Shingle Creek is $12 per day.

21. What should I wear to attend the conference?
 
HDI events encourages you to dress business casual in order to enjoy this roll-up-your-sleeves conference.

22. What is the weather like?
 
The average temperature in March for Orlando is 78 during the day with a low of 55 in the evening.

23. How far is the hotel from the airport?
 
The hotel is 12.3 miles (15 minute drive) from the Orlando International Airport.
