John Reed is the executive director of Robert Half Technology, a leading specialized staffing firm providing IT professionals on a project and full-time basis. In this role, he manages operations for more than 100 Robert Half Technology locations worldwide. The firm places IT professionals for initiatives ranging from web development and multiplatform systems integration to network security and technical support. Prior to this role, he was a district president for Robert Half Technology, overseeing multiple branches in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Memphis, and Nashville. John has an extensive background in both IT and staffing, including twelve years in IT product sales and eleven years in the staffing industry. He began his IT staffing career in 1998 as an account executive for Robert Half Technology in Tulsa, OK. He was quickly promoted to division director, and subsequently held several managerial positions, including branch manager and regional vice president, prior to his current role. During his tenure as senior regional vice president, John oversaw operations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. He is a frequently quoted expert on employment trends in the IT field, and has been featured in the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Business Journal. He has also been involved in several professional organizations, including the Dallas chapter of the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) and a featured speaker for HDI in both Dallas and Houston. He received his BA in public affairs and administration from the University of Oklahoma.
