When you join the Help Desk Institute, you have the
benefits of both national and local membership. All
information regarding the different membership levels and the
opportunity to sign up online are at the following web page:
http://www.thinkhdi.com/join/
Because all membership is now handled at the
national level, the CT chapter does not collect membership
dues. We will receive payment from National HDI when a member
signs up or renews and selects the Connecticut chapter.
The person who is listed as the contact for
National HDI will be able to attend the CT chapter meetings for
free. There is only one person per National HDI membership. Site
membership at National entitles only one person to attend the local
chapter meetings at no fee. There is currently no site membership
for local chapters. We have expressed a need for this to National
HDI, they are considering various options and we should know
more about their direction in the summer time.
National HDI members who sign up and select the
Connecticut chapter as their local chapter, will receive 1 guest
pass from the CT chapter. This guest pass can be given to a coworker
or business associate. The guest
pass can be used to attend one local CT chapter meeting.
CT chapter meetings provide the Help Desk
professional with the opportunity to network with others who share
the same profession. We also provide industry speakers who present
topics that are appropriate to the Help Desk
profession.
We welcome all Help Desk Professionals to our CT
chapter meetings, non-National HDI members will be required to pay
$25 at the door.
